Yesterday the Polish group Forever Young completed their conference so today was dedicated to “flipping the camp”: transitioning from one camp to the next. We spent the morning cleaning the guest cabins from top to bottom. Everyone pitched in and we got done before lunch, and actually had fun in the process.
We are are still recovering from jet lag (we lost six hours on the trip here) so after lunch we rested a bit.
The fun event of the evening was a trip into town for our traditional Polish ice cream, or lody. It did not disappoint. After spending some time relaxing on the pier and watching a beautiful sunset, we headed back to camp. We’re off to bed early tonight. We have a few things yet to clean at the camp in the morning, then tomorrow afternoon the Holocaust Survivors arrive!!
